UK Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA)
The ETA scheme becomes effective for EU passport holders from the beginning of April. Anyone travelling with a UK passport is exempt. The British government advises all UK citizens to enter the UK using their UK passport.
Although this is the advice, our current understanding from the UK authorities is that this is not strictly a legal obligation. We are however trying to obtain more clarity on the situation. This is of importance to dual citizens who, for whatever reason (for example non-renewal of a UK passport or non-recognition of dual status on the part of the country of residence), may wish to obtain the ETA and travel using a non UK passport.
The application process (that went live on 5 March) can be entered using this link

It is up to you as an individual to decide on which path to follow and British in Europe (BiE) is not offering advice, legal or otherwise, to dual nationals on this.
Please let us know if, as a dual citizen, you have any difficulty in obtaining the authorisation at
