Join our Team: Junior Project Management Officer

BIE was awarded EU project funding in March 2024 for 20 months. As a result, we are expanding our team and looking to recruit a junior project management officer to work full-time on a project on the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights and the citizens’ rights part of the Withdrawal Agreement.
Your responsibilities will include:
● Post-event administration, reimbursements and reporting;
● Preparing documentation for the governance and advisory board meetings, project coordination and team meetings, plus webinars and other project meetings;
● Day to day project management support, including financial administration and communication with participants and stakeholders from across the EU, to enable and evidence that the project delivers its obligations under its Grant Agreement;
● Coordinating quality assurance and evaluation process as the project progresses, to evidence achievement of objectives;
● Compiling a project library and documentation so that project records are complete and comply with Grant Agreement requirements;
● Providing administrative support to other Work Package activities as needed such as a case recording system and outputs for a Project Toolbox;
Requirements:
You must be:
● Either an EU citizen, or a British beneficiary of the WA resident in the EU, or a third country national living in the EU with full employment rights (e.g. under the temporary protection directive, or as the holder of a relevant EU work visa valid for the duration of the contract, April-October 2025);
● Resident in and able to work from the EU for the duration of the project;
● Willing and able to undertake project related travel as may be required;
● Able to work from home as we are a remote working organisation, and hold or be willing to acquire self-employed status in an EU member state;
● Available to start work no later than 1 April 2025.
We are looking for someone who:
• Identifies with and supports the values of British in Europe and the EU project;
• Has a Bachelor's degree in project management, accounting or economics
• Has worked as a project officer on at least one EU-funded project for at least 2 years with a focus on budget control (experience of grants funded under CERV calls will be an advantage);
• Has experience working remotely with volunteers and colleagues in different EU states;
• Is a self-motivated and enthusiastic team player;
• Demonstrates a high degree of organisational skills;
• Has a proven ability to deliver standards to established timetables and deadlines, as well as an ability to balance a wide range of different tasks;
• Is very confident in the handling of web-based office applications, including spreadsheets;
• Has experience in working with project management tools such as Microsoft 365 Business;
• Has an excellent command of the English language (C1 level) and the ability to draft and present in English.

● A direct contract for a total of 100 days on an EU-defined daily rate of €200 plus local VAT until the end of October 2025.
